Median Home Price sets new records in San Francisco

San Francisco’s median home sale prices have continued to soar, hitting a record high of $1.225M in April. That surpasses the recent March benchmark of $1.15M. For reference, at this time last year, the median price hadn’t yet cracked $1M.
 
The undisputed most expensive areas in the city this year so far have been Pacific and Presidio Heights, where sale prices of single-family homes hit a median of $5.995M. Sea Cliff is second, with a median house price of $3M.
 
What are the most affordable neighborhoods?  The Excelsior and the Bayview; coming in at $782,500 and $610k respectively.
